Over the last week, there was a look at an Echo Park site that is patiently waiting for development and a visit to a Hollywood lot that has become something of a Moroccan bazaar. In tallying up the city's long vacant lots, this small triangle at the corner of Main and Abbot Kinney in Venice has long boasted that sign--for a retail/commercial development--and done nothing but gather tumbleweeds. How any square inch of Venice can remain undeveloped, unpurchased or undebated boggles the mind.
