See You in 2010, Silver Lake

New, 6 comments

Judging from the comments, it looks like the members of the embattled Silver Lake Neighborhood Council will remain in office till 2010. Last night was the vote to decide whether to push back elections for two years or hold them this summer. Via comments: "The YES's [yes to holding elections this summer] were actually in the majority (like they always are because, contrary to what this blog would make you think, Silver Lake is still mostly sane), but a 2/3 majority was required to restore elections." As previously noted, the city gave neighborhood councils the option to postpone elections; so far it appears the Woodland Hills NC opted to postpone, while the Downtown NC opted for early elections.
