It was a pleasure doing business with you. Please EMAIL us at la@curbed.com if you have new questions. We're running low and we're going to have to start rationing if things don't improve.

1) Echo Park: In regards to the rapes around Echo Park, we checked the crime maps dating back to the beginning of May but found no reported rapes in the immediate vicinity. The Northeast Community Police Station, which covers a bigger swath of land including Eagle Rock, Highland Park, East Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Echo Park, reports one rape between June 1 and June 28. "Attempted Rapes" don't show up in their statistics online, so we can't tell if something is really going on. Please, continue to remain aware of your surroundings and watch out for gangs of all colors and ethnicities.

2) South Park: We looked and can't figure out what's happening at the corner of Venice and Hope, right now. However, from the 2005-06 Children, Youth and Families Budget Report (City of LA), there was this blurb: "The [Community Redevelopment Agency] acquired three parcels for the development of a park at the northwest corner of Hope Street and Venice Boulevard and a community center to be located on CRA-acquired property at the southeast corner of Hope and Venice.... Construction of the Community Center is pending the completion of acquisition of adjacent parcels by the CRA and California Medical Center..."

3) Silver Lake [ADJ]: Silver Lake Adj or "Virgil Gulch". Let the battle begin. Also, Curbed commenter Semprini answers the mystery of the dirt lot at Temple and Hoover: "The dirt lot in "Virgil Gulch" has been cleared for a rec field for the high school--yay P.E. They kinda forgot to get entitlements before they cleared the site though, so it'll be a dirt lot for a while."
