Earthquake Coverage: Downtown Office Workers Get a Long Lunch

New, 13 comments

Today's 5.4 magnitude earthquake may have happened 35 east of downtown Los Angeles, but the shake cleared offices, restaurants, and of course, construction sites, in downtown. Crowds gathered in Pershing Square; in front of the Federal Court House; the El Dorado project on Spring Street; 717 Ninth, and just about every street corner. The quake happened at 11:42 am, but by 1:00 pm, a good number of people still hadn't returned to their buildings.
