RenderPorn: Panorama Place's Indoor Boulevard

New, 29 comments

Spectacularly large renderings of the proposed 504-unit mixed use Panorama Place development, just west of the Panorama Mall in Panorama City, have hit our inbox. The proposed project from Maefield Development Company (you may know them from such projects such as Sunset Millenium - Phase 1, and The Landmark - Union Square in San Francisco) will include a street that runs through the project, a 14-story high rise building and units starting in the $300s.

Panorama Place is an extraordinary mixed-use development that will feature a 3-level vertical lifestyle center with over 415,000 square feet of retail and 5 levels of parking in Panorama City, California, just 1/4 mile east of the 405 and 101 freeways. This impressive project will include big box retail in addition to smaller street-front shops in a one-of-a kind setting for this underserved neighborhood. Opening is expected in the Fall of 2009.
The status of the project's approvals are up in the air as there are no updates on the City Planning web site, and you know, since the economy sucks and stuff. Construction of the project is scheduled to begin this year. Don't hold your breath.
