City West Dogs, Meet Vista Hermosa Park

New, 19 comments

Here's a quick run through Vista Hermosa Park, that new 10-acre public green space opening tomorrow in City West. The best part: The sloping hills. God, if only Mother LA Nature would offer up a freak snowstorm and we could hit those mounds with sleds. At one point, a cruel commenter called the park ugly, and while the more sophisticated kids may give a hairy eyeball to those Flinstone-looking boulders, that's about the extent of ugliness. Joggers will like those trails, nature lovers will like the variety of trees, and neighbors will be impressed with how well the green park matches the nearby green high school. And how about this: "Dogs on leashes are welcome at the park," according to a spokesperson. Woo-hoo!
