Amid Glendale's overall plan to add more hotels and create an "economic corridor," the city's Redevelopment Agency yesterday approved a 172-room, 11-story Hyatt Place Hotel at West Wilson and North Central avenues, reports the Glendale News-Press' Jason Wells. The development would join the approved residential Alexander building in "transforming the east-west link between Brand and Central." Hyatt officials credit the mixed-use Americana at Brand development as paving the way for the hotel to come in. [GNP]
