Rowan Move-Ins in October, More Spring Street Action Coming

New, 31 comments

While there was a reader dispatch this spring on The Rowan, here's an actual look at the thing. Who doesn't tire of looking at some more staging. Located at 460 Spring Street, the 206-unit adaptive reuse project is offering units ranging from 550-square feet to 1,420-square feet; prices range from $300,000-$1 million. Likely what's most interesting about the project is what's to come to the area: A crazy-looking condo/hotel tower has been proposed for the lot near this building.

The new hotel/condo project that would have a greater impact on residents living in the under-construction and down the street El Dorado project than the Rowan, according to the sales agent who showed us around.

Meanwhile, the sales agent noted the Rowan and the hotel would be kind of swanky and Roosevelt Hotel-like (both the tower, which would have a two-story separate retail/commercial component, the Rowan, and El Dorado are being spearheaded by the same developer who did the The Roosevelt hotel in Hollywood). But that made us wonder: Would we want to live next to the Roosevelt Hotel? But upon further reflection, this is downtown, not Hollywood right?

Additionally, it's been reported a Holiday Inn is coming in on the corner at Spring. So, lots happening on the street. Meanwhile, there are three units in the gallery; one is an unfinished townhome; the other two are model units. Move-ins are in October.
