The dirt is churning and the dust is flying at the University Gateway project. What joy it will bring to the USC adjacent neighbors to have the kiddies locked up in a large dorm-style building far away on Figueroa. And it's good for preservation, too. "While some are concerned with scale, market impacts, and the conjunctive threat to the Felix Chevrolet showroom, the project might benefit preservation pursuits in the immediate University and North University neighborhoods, by providing more student specific housing close to campus."
