PASADENA: At least one person has already arrived at the Pasadena Apple Store, sleeping bag in hand, ready to spend the night and be one of the first buyers to purchase an iPhone. Closer to Beverly Hills and Hollywood, one imagines some poor assistants--to some big agents--will be spending the night outside of the Grove.
LA BREA: Rackage, Racked LA's look inside a new store, stops by & Still, a store that specializes in vintage deadstock, i.e., stuff that's never been worn. . "We witnessed more than one shopper "Holy shit!" his way through the front room in the most positive way possible, holding out T-shirts, hats, and Starter jackets." That sounds encouraging.
DOWNTOWN: Party tonight, hipsters. The Comme des Garçon Guerrilla Store is offering three limited-edition skate decks today in conjunction with its fall '08 collections. Racked picks up the news per Slamxhype via Highsnobiety: "The store will be hosting a function on the evening of Thursday July 10th to kick off sales of these limited edition skateboard decks and it will also serve as a kickoff party for the arrival of new Comme des Garcons merchandise that recently arrived at the shop."
