More outrage on the recent California Senate decision to push forward a bill to ban helium foil balloons and make it illegal to sell them in the state because of claims the balloons get tangled in power lines and cause outages. Alma Mayorga, manager of Balloons R Us Inc. in Ontario, speaking to The Sun: "It would probably kick me to bankruptcy," Mayorga said. "I don't think that the foil balloons are actually what are causing all the outage problems." Indeed, there's a huge disagreement about whether these things are actually causing power outages.
