Oh, what Los Angeles could be, if only it had a fast, convenient mass transit system. Transit enthusiast blog Ditch the Car, Take the Metro does more than imagine, creating an Eastside fantasy train map that makes use of the many abandoned rights of way surrounding Downtown. Check out the blog's proposed Expo Line extension to Alhambra, which would connect the Westside to the San Gabriel Valley via Downtown--though we should probably focus on getting the first phase of the line built first.
