Anaheim to Vegas in 2 Hours

New, 33 comments

So, the fantasy maglev between SoCal and Vegas got a $45 million infusion of cash today, reports breitbart.com. That money will pay for environmental studies on the 300 mile per hour train that someday may be whisking people (tourists) from Anaheim to Sin City in two hours. What about Angelenos, who constitute a healthy chunk of the Vegas tourism dollar? Driving to Anaheim (one hour without traffic), plus parking and boarding, equals about an hour saved over driving to Vegas (assuming you leave at the right time, what good driver can't get there in 4.5 hours?). The floating train—which would be the first in the U.S.—still sounds cool, though. It'll probably happen before the pie-in-the-sky maglev planned between West LA and Ontario. [BreitBart.com]
