Container home guru/local architect Peter DeMaria has a number of projects going on around the city, including this new community center/parsonage house on East 7th Street in Boyle Heights. Here's how she's looking. And it seems that the European film crews are hip to living in shipping containers. Get down there, ABC 7! DeMaria gives an update: "We're filming at the East LA Parsonage/Community Center, the Venice Mixed-Use project and the Redondo Beach House for a European news team. Should be cool as the Europeans have already "embraced" the shipping container as a building block. Also, Logical Homes is super close to opening its doors."
