Rotating Skyscrapers Coming to U.S.?

New, 30 comments

As our New York sibling reported yesterday, Italian architect Dr. David Fisher unveiled his next two projects, 80 and 70-story mixed-use skyscrapers in Dubai and Moscow that rotate on a by-floor basis. These marvels or monstrosities (clearly depends on how you look at it) will harness the wind with their movement. Other features include car parks inside your condo and private pools. This isn't pie in the sky; the Dubai building is expected to be complete in 2010. Fisher hopes the third swiveling tower lands in Gotham—is LA disappointed or relieved?
