MID-WILSHIRE: Exterior improvements on the 5900 Wilshire tower are moving along; big shiny windows now face the street and a mini-park has emerged in front of the mid-Wilshire skyscraper. These photos were taken last night and the windows allowed a birds-eye view of a fancy party thrown by the A + D Museum, one of 5900's tenants. A new cafe and pavilion were supposed to follow, but we're not sure if these changes are coming. [Curbed Staff]
WESTLAKE: Anyone who wants to get involved MacArthur Park changes, there's a meeting next Monday. Via the G & C: "The public is welcome to attend an upcoming meeting of Community Advisory Board for MacArthur Park in the Westlake district west of Downtown, a facility operated by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks. Officials of the agency and members of the advisory board have recently urged community members to contribute ideas for the facility and ask any questions they might have about its operations during the meeting. Topics of discussion are expected to include the schedule of Summer Concerts, plans to publicize the performances, volunteer opportunities, and a Youth Talent Night." [G & C]
