Cut If Off, Santa Monicans

New, 2 comments

Santa Monica City Council's infamous meetings now have some new rules: In response to meetings running past midnight, public comments are now limited to two minutes, rather than three minutes. But the council "declined to adopt a rule to limit the time the councilmembers [could spend] discussing an item on the agenda," according to the Santa Monica Mirror. "Councilmember Shriver suggested a “budget” of time for discussion among councilmembers, but withdrew the suggestion when it became clear that it would be voted down." Plus: The paper has the latest on carob tree removal plans. [Santa Monica Mirror]
