New To Market: Post & Beam Jewel Box In The Oaks

New, 15 comments

We really, really want to live here. Yup, it's a jewel box of a post & beam in the Oaks, off of Bronson Canyon, which means you could actually WALK to Gelson's, The Bourgeois Pig, and catch Patton Oswalt at UCB Theater. If anyone actually walked in Bronson Canyon. This 1957 2-bedroom, 2-bath house features "living area and decks [with] head on views of the evening lights over Hollywood and beyond. The home sits on a large lot offering expansion opportunities." But please don't. It's perfect just as it is. And (relatively) affordable. Its last sale price in 2004 was $715,000. Today's asking price: $799,000. That's a drastic change from the list price printed in the Spring 2007 Beachwood Voice, asking for $989,000. Glad to see the owner has put down the crack pipe.
