Visualizing The Grand On A Busy Saturday

New, 39 comments

Renderings abound, but here are some close-ups of downtown's mixed-use, architect Frank Gehry-designed The Grand. One of these photos--all these images are new to us--was shown at yesterday's big downtown developer meeting about the state of the market. What you're seeing: Basically, the whole thing has been cut in half like a big ham.

So you're in the middle. That's Olive St. on the left and Grand Ave. to the right. In one of the other photos, the entrance to the rental/condominium building can be seen--it's below the silver slab. And the plaza is in the middle, near all those shiny people who are very, very busy shopping.
