Watch the Water

Four homebuilders have been ordered to pay $4.3 million in fines for "failing to control runoff at construction sites in 34 states and the District of Columbia..." The runoff happened at sites between 2001 to 2004; the "Clean Water Act requires builders that disturb land to obtain permits and minimize runoff from rain." The companies fined by the EPA are Centex Corp of Dallas, KB Home of Los Angeles, Pulte Homes Inc. of Michigan., and M.D.C. Holdings Inc. of Denver, according to ABC7. And $4.3 million is what these guys spend on one day of morning coffee, right? [ABC7]
