Big in Watts

New, 1 comment

What is being called the largest multi-use development in Watt in 20 years, the Imani Fe project broke ground this morning. According the press release from the Mayor's office, "the $60 million project will redevelop a large swath of Central Avenue between 103rd and 107th streets in Watts, creating 60 permanent jobs and hundreds of jobs during construction." In addition to housing the project will create 1,500 square feet of community space, a family-sized restaurant, a financial institution and businesses.
