HOLLYWOOD: Courtesy of Dolce Group, restaurant Geisha House has some bold new Asian script on the side of their building. Eater LA has a contest--best fake translation wins.
GLENDALE: Massive movieplex, condos and retail aren't the only attractions at the Americana at Brand. Eater tells us the "lifestyle center" also features fourteen new restaurants including a Katsuya, Frida, Beard Papa's and Cheesecake Factory, natch. Plus, a full gallery of today's madness. Lines! Caruso eating at Katsuya!
WEST HOLLYWOOD: British import and reality tv star Gordon Ramsey has upped the anticipated opening date for his restaurant at the London Hotel. Now expected to open May 27th (rather than mid-June), the reservation line opened yesterday. Feel free to peruse the menu, featuring "spiny lobster and halibut, market vegetables, Sonoma lamb" and of course a little pork belly.
DOWNTOWN: Last year was not a good one for tiki fans. But like a flaming cocktail that will not be extinguished: a reopened Trader Vic's somewhere downtown in 2009. Owners are considering several locations near the Staples Center and Nokia Theater.
