Downtown Developer Canned

New, 5 comments

A power play at Maguire Properties—Downtown's largest office landlord—has ended with Robert F. Maguire III sacked from his role as chairman, chief executive officer, and president of the struggling company he founded, reports the Los Angeles Times. Maguire will hold the title of chairman emeritus but will no longer be involved in daily operations, the Board announced Sunday. The 73-year-old Maguire will be replaced by Nelson Rising, a former Maguire staffer who got the the huge Playa Vista development off the ground and helped bring L.A.'s tallest skyscraper, the U.S. Bank Tower, to fruition.
