DOWNTOWN: Brady Westwater over at LA Cowboy gets the scoop that the previously stalled Medallion project is back on track. Developer Saeed Farkhondepour announced earlier this month that construction would halt for nearly a year after some shady business: "The contractor came up with some 20% cost increases and that was like, let's just shut the damn thing down and forget about it." Apparently negotiations on construction costs and leasing rates proved effective, and construction can resume soon. Medallion would include nearly 200 apartment units, a retail promenade and a pocket park at 3rd and Main.
