Google Earth, the free satellite image suite, has released updated imagery for Los Angeles (taken sometime in 2006), a visual depiction of what we already know: The city has gone through through a building boom, becoming taller, denser and more school-y these past few years. Say hello to condos, LA Live, schools for the kids, and the Broad Contemporary Art Museum! Dearly departed: The Ambassador Hotel on Wilshire, that luggage shop, elbow room and parking lots. What else has been wiped off the Los Angeles landscape in this update?
