Rest easy, Echo Park denizens—the nabe's lotuses are looking ready to bloom in time for the mid-July Lotus Festival, reports the Los Angeles Times. The lush flowers that line Echo Park Lake were a bust the past two festivals, either blossoming too late or not at all. While it's still early, the Times says over 100 lotus leaves lined the shore last week; a very good sign. Meanwhile, any word on whether the Lady of the Lake's missing hand has been replaced?
