HollywoodFranklin Mystery: No Longer Leasing

New, 20 comments

A friend of Curbed informed us this weekend that something weird is happening at the HollywoodFranklin, the recently renovated 1928 apartment building near the corner of Cahuenga and Franklin. Move ins were originally scheduled for May, but were soon delayed to June. Calls stopped being returned. And finally, last week the $30 credit check fee was returned with the announcement that the units were no longer being rented out. Now potential renters are being left high and dry, with nary a flat screen TV to be seen. Our inquiry to the info line turned up a curt, "We are no longer leasing units." Perhaps someone else knows the real backstory?
