On the Racked: Known LA on West 3rd, Vince, Creme, and Kenneth Cole's Party

New, 16 comments

The latest store info, retail gossip and sidewalk scenes from the street-obsessed Racked LA, the newest member of the Curbed family.

WEST 3RD STREET: Racked LA talks to the owner of Known LA, a new clothing store opening tomorrow, about inventory (PRPS, Evisu Deluxe denim, heritage line No Mas, Japanese brand Natural Born Killers, and more) and future plans (expect luggage, home furnishings and accessories).

ROBERTSON BOULEVARD: The "I just met Vince" tag line is not an "Entourage" reference, but a nod to the store's namesake. Vince, which made its name selling cashmere sweaters, is now open on Robertson Boulevard. In addition to those sweaters, expect brightly-colored tees and tanks. Don't miss the bike-riding green mannequins.

WEST 3RD STREET: Trying to stay relevant, Beverly Center is dropping stale retailers and adding fresh ones. Say hello to Creme boutique which'll offer labels Robert Rodriguez, Teen Flo, Nicole Miller, Genetic denim, and more.

WEST 3RD STREET: Spotted among the B-list crowd at last Thursday's Kenneth Cole party: "The Hills"' Audrina Partridge, who veered towards the sunglass table. The party kicked off the Awearness Fund, which “raises awareness for various socially relevant issues.” Currently, the non-profit is putting efforts towards HIV/AIDS research and fighting homelessness.
