Following smoking-in-public crackdowns in Santa Monica and similar proposed legislation that would restrict smoking in Glendale, Pasadena is now looking to snuff out public smoking. "Tonight, the Pasadena City Council will consider a far-sweeping ban on smoking that could make it illegal to light up in nearly any public gathering place in the city. Under the proposed ordinance, smoking would be banned at all public events, festivals, even the Rose Parade and at bus stops and ATMs." Smokers, it's time to move to Pomona, where city officials will happily light your cigarette for you.
