Mini-Malling: La Pico Plaza on Pico Boulevard

New, 13 comments

Mini-Malling is our infrequent pondering of the psychology of architecture, signage and assembly of tenants specifically related to the mini-malls of Los Angeles. See a mini-mall worthy of a second look? Email us.

Not every mall grows up to be a proud Cadillac Fleetwood-inspired mall or a pretty turquoise-colored mall. Pity La Pico Plaza, that sad, stunted mall on Pico. Pity the drivers who back into each other when trying to get out of that ill-designed parking lot. Other malls get bells and whistles aka decoration to gussy up their simple architecture, but here, we've got turquoise pendants and some holes. And you need a bath, La Pico Plaza.
