As of yesterday, the girls' softball team at Alhambra High School has a new field to play on: The team sued the school and school district, "demanding the girls be allowed to have a playing field equal to the boys." Based on the Title IX law that requires public and private schools that use federal funds not to discriminate against students and employees based on sex, the girls won. [ABC7]
