As noted yesterday, developer Rick Caruso is throwing a big party Thursday night to celebrate the opening of Americana at Brand, his new Glendale mixed-used project. There will be fireworks! And live performances! Neighbors, jumpy dogs are officially on notice that's it gonna be loud. (And sorry if you didn't get your invite.) Excerpt from the notice mailed out to area neighbors: "As a good neighbor, we want to take a moment to personally inform you that we will be hosting a private party on the evening of Thursday, May 1, 2008. This by invitation only event will feature fireworks and musical performances staged between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It is of great importances to us that our neighbors are informed of the event details so you will not be alarmed when you hear the fireworks or performances from your home or business."
