In a story that only mentions "pit bulls" once, the Sun reports that amid concerns about dogs "lunging" at people's food and an ugly chain link fence, the Studio City Neighborhood Council (SCNC) shot down a proposed new off-leash dog park at Moorpark Park at Laurel Canyon Boulevard. “I’m a mom,” Studio City resident Andrea Neuman said during the meeting. “A dog park and children right next to each other is not a good idea.” There was also worry the dogs would disrupt the art fairs and community activities held at Moorpark Park.
