Looks like NBC Universal's shiny new headquarters in Universal City is definitely happening: staff got an e-mail yesterday announcing M. David Paul Associates—one of the largest real estate developers in the city—purchased NBC's current 34-acre Burbank lot. NBC's new digs, on Lankershim near the Red Line stop, will be done by 2011 and will accommodate local NBC and Telemundo stations, NBC Network News, Access Hollywood, as well as Conan O'Brien's Tonight Show, which he takes over from Jay Leno next year. Seems like a good step for NBC which will now be across from the world-famous Universal Studios as opposed to a Wienerschnitzel.
