Burbank Assimilated

New, 33 comments

A commentary in the Burbank Leader by an old-timer decries the Manhattan-ization of the city - overrun by new office and condo development and all the associated traffic. Where will the horses of tomorrow graze? "...I will not ask that city officials drop the term “small-town feel” when talking about Burbank. Yes, yes, I know we’ve gone from Mayberry to being more and more like Manhattan, especially once the new apartments are complete down by the AMC Theater. It’s progress and I’m old fashioned. I moved here for the quaintness but every bubble has to burst. I just didn’t see this happening at such a breakneck speed over the last couple of years. Small Town Feel — R.I.P."
