Today's transit news is coming fast and furious. Not only gunning for millions from the feds, Metro is also gettin' serious about a half-cent tax on the November ballot that, if passed, would bring in big bucks for road improvements and transit upgrades. In June, the transit agency plans to release a specific list of desired projects—most likely including the subway to the sea—and include options for accelerating the schedule of new rail and bus projects already in the pipeline if a tax is approved by voters, as well as a list of short-term transportation improvements.
