The Here in Van Nuys blog has a photo of Van Nuys in 1945 when she was still a pretty, young thing surrounded by orange groves. A 2006 post in leblog.exuberance has another shot of Van Nuys in her more recent years, where it's evident the gal has turned, at the very least, into a Monet—not bad from afar, but sort of funky up close.
