The foundation of West Hollwyood's future Red Building—the final structure in the PDC trilogy of office towers and design showrooms— requires 1,900 pile drivers to create, and those pylons are louder and smokier than a Saturday night at the Abbey, according to the WeHo News. Neighbors, including staff and parents at nearby Huntley Pre-School which has been besieged by noise and dust, are all hopping mad. Residents believe noise shrouds can be built but developer Charles Cohen says it ain't feasible. Cohen's willing to switch to less-pollutey fuels for generators and move the pre-school to a temporary space. Gallery of the future building.
