Following a City Council vote earlier this week, a new billboard downtown district will likely help fund a wetlands park in South Los Angeles. Blog View from A Loft heads to the area, specifically Augustus F. Hawkins Natural Park, a park that's about 1.5 miles from the new proposed park, which would be bounded by East 54th St, S San Pedro St, East 55th St, and Avalon St. And per his research, View From A Loft blogger Ed Fuentes tells Curbed the new proposed wetlands park could reach 12 acres.
