A construction report on CIM's Midtown Crossing project, that very large retail center slated for Pico and San Vicente: Since visiting last September, there's not much of anything, i.e, the planned new Lowe's actually being built. But! Dirt is moving, mounds are being created, and holes are being dug. Also, there's some sort of roadwork being done right on Pico in front of the Midtown Crossing that may be affecting your drive. Related: Last fall, the LA Times Times talked up this development and the neighborhood, a place where a single-family home sells for an average of $559,000, a price which seems rather expensive.
