Curbed Wire: Hancock Lofts and Hancock Park!

New, 41 comments

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Like receiving Willy Wonka's golden tickets, lucky readers are getting important updates on West Hollywood's Hancock Lofts (pictured). One of the latest emails read: "There is a lot happening at Hancock Lofts. Construction is progressing and we anticipate that sales will begin in the second quarter of 2008. Pricing is expected to start in the low $900,000s. Due to the overwhelming interest in Hancock Lofts, we strongly encourage you to pre-qualify with our preferred lender, Countrywide Home Loans." Start saving, people. [Curbed InBox]

HANCOCK PARK: Developers going back on their word. That never happens. An email to local Hancock Park residents warns that Casden Development LLC is trying to rezone the area of the Ross Store property at 3rd and Ogden. The email accuses the developer of going back on their word, stating that Casden originally agreed to build senior congregate care housing and instead wants to build 300 condos on the site. Locals are asking people to come with their pitchforks to the next Mid City West Community Council Land Use Committee meeting on March 26. Let's hope everyone leaves happy. [Curbed InBox]
