Check out this Silversun Pickups video directed by Joaquin Phoenix and shot entirely (or so it looks) in downtown, according to hipper-than-us blog Los Anjealous, which writes: "Always good to see Downtown used for something other than a backdrop for a car commercial or a Tom Cruise movie." Indeed. And this video is far better than Vanessa Carlton's piano stomp through downtown. You gotta squint, but rack up the local landmarks.
