Woody Allen Files Suit Against American Apparel

New, 22 comments

Via Bloomberg: "Woody Allen on Monday sued American Apparel Inc, claiming the U.S. clothing company used his image in advertising on billboards and the Internet without his consent." Last May, American Apparel ran the above image on billboards across the country, including a spot on Sunset and Alvarado (pictured above). That text translates to the "The Holy Rabbi," but Allen ain't feeling the love: He's seeking damages in excess of $10 million. UPDATE: And American Apparel responds to the suit. Racked LA has the latest.
