Rumblings & Bumblings: Hollywood Dirt Lot, Koreatown Temple, Santa Monica's Unfinished Townhomes and Daniel Murphy H.S.

Hello. We have four questions this week. Please feel free to email us at la@curbed.com if you have answers to these questions or maybe an update on a past question. We would also really appreciate digital pictures.

1) Hollywood: A reader sends in the above digital photo (hot!) and queries: "did they really knock down those cool old apartment buildings across from the 101 Cafe just for this?" We think he wants a status update.

2) Koreatown: Party at the Temple or a public benefit, asks a reader: "The Wilshire Boulevard Temple purchased three empty lots on Hobart and Sixth for $10 Million. This is added to an apartment building they bought in 2006 for $2.6 Million. There, they evicted the tenants and tore the building down. They have big plans for expansion. Will there be a public benefit, like Senior or Low-Income housing? Or just a really big party space and parking structure?"

3) Santa Monica: More unfinished business: "I moved to west LA almost 5 years ago and that whole time, this eyesore that appears to be an unfinished townhouse project has been sitting at Stanford and Broadway. I haven't been reading Curbed LA that long, so maybe you've already addressed it, but it bugs me every time I drive by it. Any clues as to who owns it and if it'll ever be finished or knocked down? Sorry about the blurry photo - it's from google maps street view."

4) Fairfax District: Maybe they can rebuild the Ambassador Hotel here? "Last year, it was reported that Daniel Murphy High School, located at 3rd street and Detroit, was going out of business. Has there been any news as to whether it was sold yet, and if so, what the plan is for the site?"
