When completed, the five-story 5550 Wilshire project will feature 163 residences, along with subterranean and street-level parking (don't worry, looks like none of the parking fronts Wilshire). Here's hoping that Robek's, Coffee Bean, and Metro PCS never hear about this project's 15,000 square feet of available retail space. The whole thing started in second quarter 2007 and will be completed next summer, according to the Larchmont Chronicle. Add in 5600 Wilshire next door (opening spring 2009), and you're getting nearly 500 new units on just this two-block stretch of Wilshire.
