EaterTastings: Downtown's Doheny Opens, Hollywood's Cafe Was Close to Opening, More Downtown Food A-Coming

New, 9 comments

The latest dish from Eater LA, Curbed's hedonistic eating and drinking blog.

DOWNTOWN: The super-secretive, members-only club The Doheny from Cedd Moses opened on March 1st. Not a lot of press on the place yet, but Eater did get a hold of some official "detail" shots (pictured).

HOLLYWOOD: Now that Forty Deuce is closed, owner Ivan Kane is closer to opening Cafe Was in the old Schwab's space on Vine. Expect a "garden" patio and a piano in the middle of the main dining room by May.

DOWNTOWN: Big Gulps, Slurpees and...artisanal cheeses? Downtown celebrated its first 7-Eleven this week, and Eater also dishes on the upcoming Bottega Louie in the Brockman building opening this summer.
