Well, it's certainly different. Catching up on our somewhat spotty Santa Monica construction coverage, we can point out that the five-unit townhome development that is Pacific Street @ Ocean Park--no more than really a pile of wood last September--is nearly done. Dwarfed by the older, larger residential towers that dot the area, the small project will be finished in about a month, according to the real estate agent repping the development, at which point the sales office will open. Units range from 1,395-1,600 and prices start at $1.55 million, all that fine money also buying you some boxy back balconies (don't miss those).
