Use Your Sleeve, Kid! Santa Monicans Urged to Ban Kleenex

New, 26 comments

Who doesn't appreciate a nice linen handkerchief, really: Greenpeace is calling on Santa Monica schools to ban Kleenex from their classrooms, stating that the North American Boreal forest is being logged to death by Kimberly-Clark, the maker of Kleenex tissues. Friendly alternatives include brands Cascades and Seventh Generation, according to the Lookout News. Some schools have already pledged to remove the offensive Kleenex boxes; meanwhile, no word if Greenpeace has taken a position of the removal of Santa Monica's ficus trees. [Lookout News]
