Let us now take a very visual look at the latest architecture and design news as revealed on our sister blogs, Curbed NYC and Curbed SF, this week.
1) San Francisco: Sorry, San Franciscans, LA thinks your new Transbay Transit Center is just too tall and dense and will block our sun. We're sending Zev to rile up your NIMBY brigades. Nobody outdoes LA!
2) San Francisco: Developer's are taking a second shot at colonizing a corner of the Golden Gate Tennis & Swim Club. The 8 Washington Street development will include two 84-foot tall condo buildings, restaurants and some lovely green space. Naturally, neighbors are fighting it.
3) New York: New Yorkers are embracing glass boxes. Here's another one - say hello to The Renwick. LA developers, please note the use of sexy hot models (not just silhouettes) used to "tease" the project in blaring, video format.
