Broker BlogWrap: Malibu Mobile Homes, Loans, Bid Low

New, 16 comments

It's another edition of our irregularly scheduled look inside the blogs of our realtor friends. If you're a SoCal Realtor with a blog we should be reading, drop us a line.

1) Mobile Homes Above $1 Million in Malibu: You gotta admit, these are some pretty nice mobile homes. The Malibu Real Estate Blog compiles a list of the top five most expensive homes with wheels, and breezy ocean views galore, in Malibu. [MBRE]

2) New FHA Loan Limits and You: So you're finally ready to buy. For those of you, who care, numbers are being spit out and they're good. You can now get a much bigger loan. Via Judy Graff: "The loan limits for SFR in L.A. are $729,750. (same as “jumbo conforming”)." And Chris Hain adds that this an even better time to buy a duplex or triplex or fourplex and he provides you with tables to show you why.[SFVRE/Terra Firma]

3) Are Homes Selling Below Asking Price? Phyllis Harb examines the question on most people's minds, "Are the people selling their homes getting what they're asking for?" She notes that of the sales she's looked at, very few are selling for less than 90 percent of the asking price. This means that the homes priced to sell are selling, and those that aren't are pretty much stuck. Advice from Phyllis: Reexamine your selling price if you can't sell. [LAREB]
